The CRAS
In 2022 Nata Libera obtained official recognition
as a CRAS (Wild Animal Recovery Center):
an institution, so far absent in the Biella area,
which joins the regional CRAS network.
Emergency interventions
The goal is first
to intervene in critical situations,
offering a recovery,
specialized care and hospitality
for endangered wildlife.
Raising awareness
But it is also important to act
'upstream' by promoting
- through cultural, informative
and educational initiatives -
a correct behaviour by humans
towards the animals
that inhabit our environment.
A new approach
The most ambitious goal
of Nata Libera is in fact
to contribute to a new approach towards the local wildlife, considered a precious resource, to be protected
and managed with care,
as well as the environment
which hosts it.
